Additional Educational Needs
Halcyon’s admissions policy asks that all students have a strong academic background to manage the needs of a challenging IB curriculum.
Within that framework, we are resourced to provide accommodations for a range of frequently occurring additional needs for neurodivergent learners. We also provide a counselling service for those with social, emotional and mental health needs.
We believe in drawing out the unique potential of each student, and it is a part of our mission to unlock that potential through personalised educational approaches and support frameworks within our school. We are committed to creating an inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of all of our students. To achieve Halcyon’s vision of an excellent IB education, every child is encouraged to participate fully in all aspects of school life: we provide a safe and welcoming environment where every child can grow and all contributions are valued and respected. Our additional educational needs provision is an integral part of this classroom practice.

OUR LEARNING COACH
Jesi Rosati
I am exceptionally proud of the Learning Support programme that has been built from the ground up here at Halcyon and I am passionate about supporting students and prospective students to find their place in our community.
My experience as a former classroom teacher and now as a learning support specialist has given me a deep understanding of the challenging yet necessary goal of prioritising inclusivity in our school.
My goal is to collaborate with parents, teachers, students and external professionals to help every student feel confident navigating their way through the IB curriculum, no matter their individual needs.
As an American, I feel privileged to have found so much inspiration from joining an international school community abroad, and I bring this sense of exploration and joy to my work with students every day.
