Safeguarding

Safeguarding Statement

Halcyon London International School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its students. Safeguarding and child protection is everyone’s responsibility. This policy applies to all staff, volunteers and trustees in the school, and is consistent with the procedures of the 3 safeguarding partners. Our policy and procedures also apply to extended school and off-site activities.

The Board of Trustees expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment by demonstrating their understanding of how each adult working on behalf of the school has an active part to play in protecting children from harm and promoting their welfare. All Halcyon staff are advised to maintain an attitude of “it could happen here” in relation to safeguarding.

Halcyon cultivates a climate where everyone should feel comfortable to speak about these matters openly. When concerned about the welfare of a child, staff members should always act in the interests of the child.

Anti-Bullying Policy

Halcyon London International School aims to create a safe, secure learning environment where students, staff and parents are treated with respect. In an international community, where people of different cultural, national and religious backgrounds are working together, it is particularly important that there is a common understanding of appropriate working relationships, and of the shared values that underpin this. This includes policies and procedures, accepted by all stakeholders, that concern bullying, and the prevention of bullying.
